Lizz has an extensive background in dance, competing nationally, performing on all star teams, coaching high school teams and as a professional choreographer. She put this all on the side burner to get a degree in mechanical engineering from Kettering University and focus on a career. While doing this, she started taking classes in Birmingham, MI and then wanted to encourage others to embrace the technique too. So she started teaching Pure Barre in 2005. After two years she loved it so much she decided to take it on full time, Carrie named her the Director of Pure Barre National in early 2007. Now Lizz is co-owner of Pure Barre Northville and still spends time teaching reformer and pure barre in Birmingham.
